Extension Not Working

If the BetterHomework extension isn't working properly, try these solutions.

Common Issues & Solutions

Extension Icon is Grayed Out

Cause: The extension may be disabled or not loaded properly.

Solution:

1. Go to chrome://extensions/ in your browser
2. Find BetterHomework
3. Make sure the toggle is turned ON
4. Click "Reload" to refresh the extension

Screen Capture Not Working

Cause: The extension may not have the necessary permissions.

Solution:

1. Go to chrome://extensions/
2. Click "Details" on BetterHomework
3. Make sure "Site access" is set to "On all sites"
4. Try again

"Solve with BetterHomework" Button Not Appearing

Cause: The text selection feature may be disabled.

Solution:

1. Click the BetterHomework extension icon
2. Check the toggle at the bottom of the panel
3. Make sure it's turned ON

Extension Opens But Shows Blank Screen

Cause: Authentication or loading issue.

Solution:

1. Try signing out and signing back in
2. Clear browser cache and cookies
3. Reinstall the extension

Reinstalling the Extension

If problems persist:

1. Go to chrome://extensions/
2. Find BetterHomework and click "Remove"
3. Restart Chrome
4. Reinstall from the Chrome Web Store
5. Sign in again
